The Hamurana Springs Nature Preserve is amazing. I've been a number of times and it is just incredibly lovely. It is worth the price of admission if you are looking for a peaceful stroll through nature and gently gorgeous photo opps of giant red woods, birds of many kinds, bubbling sands, and crystal clear water. You can see bits of it in Maisey Rika's Youtube video: Tangaroa.

Right when we got there we were very well received by Kani, a very helpfull staff that gave us many good tips about free places to visit around Rotorua, as well as how to get the best experience inside the park. Her tips were perfect and we had the most amazing time in this beautiful place. One of the best places we visited in Rotorua! Highly recommed.

Visited Hamurana Springs on the recommendation of a friend from the area and WOW. We were blown away by the natural beauty and energy there. Such a serene and mystical place. We were fortunate enough to meet one of the caretakers, Kani, she was such a kind and exuberant person. We were worried about the walk with my Grandmother who has a bad knee but Kani assured us it was an easy scenic walk, which it absolutely was. We were mesmerized by the springs and wildlife. She (and we) will always cherish our visit to this very special place. Big MAHALO to Kani for sharing her stories with us and for being so kind to my grandmother, this was one the many highlights of our trip to Rotorua and Aotearoa. Aloha from Kaua'i-

This is one of my most favorite places to visit whilst back home in New Zealand. I always bring my family and friends who visit me here to,show, them this little slice of Paradise in Aoteroa! I too, like most others where surprised to see a charge on entry ... but after having a lovely conversation with Kani understand why the fee has been put in place. My Great Grandfather was instrumental in planting this Redwood forest so it has particular sentimental significance for me! I hope everyone visiting appreciates it as much as I do! Thank you Kani! I'll see you again soon with my daughter!
